QUESTIONS
Understanding the strategy platform
A common view of capital, with distinct disciplines for different businesses, assets and investment objectives.
The Coutts Equity Group strategy overview brings together 10 areas of investment analysis: private equity, real estate, credit and insurance, multi-asset investing, secondaries, tactical opportunities, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity and energy transition.
Each discipline starts from a different source of value. An equity investment depends on the future value of a business or asset. Credit analysis focuses on repayment capacity and contractual rights. Real asset analysis examines the relationship between an asset, its users, its cash flows and its ongoing capital needs.
The individual profiles explain these differences through areas of focus, potential capital structures, evaluation criteria and principal risks. They describe investment disciplines rather than identify a specific fund or security available for subscription.
