INVESTMENT STRATEGIES

Growth Equity

Growth equity focuses on businesses with an established product or service and an opportunity to expand. The investment case depends on whether that expansion can produce durable economic value.

Supporting the transition from product to scale.

Capital may support commercial capacity, product development, geographic expansion or acquisitions. Growth alone is not the objective. Customer retention, profitability, cash requirements and organizational capability help distinguish a sustainable expansion plan from a larger business that still depends on repeated financing.

  1. Commercial expansion

Investment in distribution, customer acquisition and new markets, supported by evidence of demand and retention.

  2. Product & technology

Resources to improve a product, extend its capabilities or strengthen the systems required for a larger business.

  3. Organizational development

Building management depth, reporting, governance and operational capacity as the business expands.

Minority or majority equity and negotiated growth capital. Governance rights, future funding requirements and potential dilution are central considerations.

  1. Market & product fit

Examine customer behavior, competitive alternatives and whether demand persists beyond initial adoption.

  2. Unit economics

Assess the relationship between revenue, customer acquisition costs, retention and the cost to serve customers.

  3. Execution capacity

Review leadership, systems, hiring needs and the cash required under different growth scenarios.

Expansion may fail to produce expected demand or profitability. Competition, customer concentration and high entry valuations can impair returns. Further financing may dilute existing ownership or prove unavailable. An exit may be delayed or unsuccessful.
